Grammy Award-nominated R&B singer and songwriter Tank recently expressed that he feels Grammy Award-winning singer and dancer Chris Brown has more talent than the late iconic multi-hyphenate Michael Jackson.
Tank, whose real name is Durrell Artaze Babbs,’ sentiments were in response to former NFL star Ryan Clark’s tweet, stating, “Chris Brown is more talented than Michael Jackson… there I said it! Have a great week.”

Clark added that he didn’t care what anyone thought about his opinion.
“I do not care!! You out CB and MJ in the talent Olympics, Chris Brown wins.”

Babbs piggybacked the former football player’s statement via Instagram, saying he thought he was the only one who felt that way.
“I’ve been the only one saying this, and I’ve felt alone for so long. Welcome to the fold! Singer, dancer, writer, producer, actor, painter, clothing designer, gymnast, ninja, etc.!!! [shrug emoji] MJ is the greatest, but CB has more gifts is all we’re saying,” he wrote.

He expounded upon his point, saying that although Jackson’s catalog of music was unmatched, Brown was still more gifted than the record-shattering legend.
“People don’t read to comprehend. They only read to respond. MJ is the greatest of all times!! His musical catalog and abilities will never be matched, but as far as overall gifts CB has more. There are plenty of artists who never made it out that have more gifts than all of us..lol. We’re not arguing greatness. We [are] simply counting gifts. Tune in to the @rnbmoneypodcast and have a blessed day.”
Ironically, Grammy Award-nominated Brooklyn rapper Fivio Foreign previously tweeted that he believed the 33-year-old crooner was the Michael Jackson of today’s generation. His tweet was in response to record producer and songwriter London On Da Track asking his followers who the Michael Jackson of the current generation is.

Many artists have been giving their hot takes about Black musical legends as of late. Babbs even said, during his interview on the hit REVOLT show, Drink Champs, that Kelly Rowland is underappreciated.
“You have no idea. I had no idea. [She’s] one of the best of us,” he said. “Kelly Rowland is by far one of the most talented females I’ve ever worked with in my life.”
