Last year, rumors circulated online that Tammy Rivera and her husband, Waka Flocka Flame, were separated. Apparently, those rumors were true after Rivera addressed the split on Instagram Live Monday night.
The reality star opened up about the separation and discussed the new series she and Waka will be starring in while they’re no longer together.
In the footage captured by 9MagTv, the 35-year-old said, “I’ve been filming for the new show. Which has been it’s been pretty good this season, though. Even though me and Waka are not together, we still have this show. We still have to film the show. It’s been cool. It’s been pretty good.”
She explained the rapper’s, born Juaquin Malphurs, relationship with her teenage daughter Charlie, whom she had in a previous relationship before meeting the “No Hands” artist.
While the former couple has different parenting styles, Rivera said, “Waka and Charlie is good. They’re really good. They be together all the time. He just picked up this game for her cell phone without me knowing, which I feel we got to co-parent.”
The T. Rivera founder added, “We didn’t co-parent good when we were in the same household. It ain’t going to be better now, now that we are separated and in different households. He’s still doing the hell he wants to do, but that’s his baby, so I understand.”
Rivera told fans tuning in that she wouldn’t be commenting on her and Waka’s relationship for the entirety of the Live. Instead, she claimed she got on to address her weight fluctuation and that she was “out of shape.”
“Y’all not going to Waka me to death with no damn questions about Waka and all that stuff. I said the man fine. Him and Charlie good, we good. We are not together, and that’s cool. We’re good. We’re in good spaces. Now ask me some other questions because I came up here because y’all I’m tired of being out of shape,” she said.
Rivera and Waka have been married since 2014.
