Tami Roman’s Husband Reggie Youngblood Arrives On Set Of ‘The Real World’ After Her Argument With David Edwards

Reality television star and actress Tami Roman involved her husband, Reggie Youngblood, in an argument she had with David Edwards on an episode of The Real World Homecoming: Los Angeles.

Roman got into a heated argument with Edwards after he failed to speak up when she advised her white castmates not to use the N-word under any circumstances.

When the subject of Black Lives Matter came up within the group, the conversation turned into an argument after Edwards commented on corporations benefiting from the protests and Roman noted Edwards’ casual attitude.

“You’re a Black man,” said Roman. “You’re supposed to speak to the plight of the Black man and your a** starts talking about a corporation? Black men are the ones being targeted, being killed. I would have liked for you to address that from a Black man’s perspective.”

“Sometimes I go, ‘I don’t even give a f**k,’ replied Edwards. “All human beings are crazy … it’s a lot, I just stay in my lane.”

Roman went on to say that she was surprised by his response before she went in and told him that he had a slave mentality. Edwards snapped back that Roman had slave mentality herself for wearing

a wig.

“You said I have a slave mentality?” he snapped. “Sitting here with a motherf****** wig on. I think your wig is possessed.”

Edwards and Roman continued to argue when she set him off again by referencing the castmates’ old issues from the original The Real World back in 1993. Edwards incorrectly thought it would be funny to pull Roman out of her bed while she was half-naked as the cameras rolled.

Roman’s comment apparently triggered Edwards, because he began to talk about snatching off Roman’s wig as he ranted while pacing the house.

“I’m ’bout to snatch that wig,” he laughed. After being told to stop by another castmate, Edwards replied, “Shut yo’ a** up!”

After he threatened to snatch off her wig, Roman asked Edwards if he would like to continue his rant with her husband. She promptly called Youngblood, who soon showed up on the set in Venice Beach. Luckily for Edwards, a producer had already taken him outside for a walk.

“I’m not leaving here,” said Youngblood. “This has been an ongoing thing and building up since you’ve been here. I’m just gonna check it…I don’t give a f**k about this. This is real. The disrespect is real. You know how I rock. Anybody want me to leave, make me leave.”

Youngblood finally left after producers let him know they wouldn’t allow Edwards back until Youngblood was gone. The Real World Homecoming

shared clips of the exchange on Twitter with a caption.

“Things are getting HEATED. Find out all that happened on the all-new episode of The #RealWorld Homecoming: Los Angeles, now streaming on @paramountplus!”

Grown folks will remember Roman from her appearance on MTV’s 1990s reality show, The Real World: Los Angeles.

In one clip from the reunion on show, Roman also speaks on her castmate John Brennan and his shock when she revealed that she was Muslim.

“You’re a Muslim? Are you serious? If my son got into a motorhome with two people like y’all and drove off,” said Brennan. “I might be cryin’, too.”

Roman called her castmate out in the clip and noted his racist attitude.

“Let me be clear. John is not a racist,” she said. “But, I think he has to be cognizant of the words that come out of his mouth. It feels very judgemental, and if you’re speaking to me, I would view that as a racist undertoned-comment.”

“Some things were better left unsaid. Catch up on the first 6 episodes of The #RealWorld Homecoming: Los Angeles, now streaming on @paramountplus.”

Roman also recalled the difficult decision she made to have an abortion and share the experience on the reality show. The actress shared a clip of episode on Instagram.

“On the new episode of The #RealWorld Homecoming: Los Angeles, the roommates are taking a look back at the moment Tami shared a life-changing decision to those around her and the world. Stream it now on @paramountplus!”

The reunion show, The Real World Homecoming: Los Angeles is currently streaming on Paramount +, and a recent episode featured Roman schooling her seemingly oblivious castmates on their unfortunate use of the N-word.
