Tameka Raymond Spills Tea In New Memoir

Tameka Raymond, the ex-wife of Usher Raymond, has released a new memoir that details her marriage to the singer and addresses the rumors that plagued the relationship, reported Hot New HipHop.

Raymond was married to Usher from 2007-2009 and they have two sons. At the time, there were rumors of her being a golddigger even though she had a well-established career as a stylist. There was also criticism about the eight-year age difference between the two.

Now, Raymond is setting the record straight. The book, entitled “Here I Stand… in a Beautiful State,” was released on July 27 and takes readers through her life working with the rich and famous and her personal relationships.

She also delved into her marriage to the R&B superstar.

Another sensitive topic that the memoir discusses is the tragic loss of her son, Kile Glover, in 2012. Kile was killed when a family friend negligently handled a jet ski that collided with the 11-year-old and caused his death. The incident happened in the midst of Raymond’s divorce, making life doubly tragic.

In a press release, it was revealed that Raymond decided to write a memoir after speaking with women that she met in Bali. The women did not believe she was Usher Raymond’s ex-wife because they were under the impression that she had died.

They were referring to another rumor that claimed that she had died in Brazil. The truth was that Raymond did suffer cardiac arrest in 2009 when she was in Brazil for plastic surgery. However, she obviously survived.

Tameka Raymond’s topsy turvy life full of love, loss, glamour and adventure convinced her that the idea she had been toying with should come to fruition.

Raymond summed up what readers can expect perfectly.

“Here I stand after going through all the media c**p, the divorce, the loss, the grief. It’s not all about crying. Readers are going to laugh. Even though there are chapters about death and divorce, this is not a depressing book.”
