T-Pain Slams Dallas Fans Over Low Ticket Sales For Upcoming Show

Grammy Award-winning rapper, songwriter, and producer T-Pain slammed his Dallas fans over low ticket sales for his upcoming show at The Factory’s popular music venue.

T-Pain, whose real name is Faheem Rasheed Najm, took to TikTok on Apr. 17 to air his grievances.

“So every week, we do a catch-up call, and we do a weekly tour update. We always send out this lil spreadsheet with the percentages of tickets we’ve sold in each city,” he said. “I gotta tell you, man, one question: what the f**k Dallas?! Dallas, what are you doing? Y’all don’t f**k with me?”

He continued, saying Texas residents said they were fans of his music.

“‘Aye, Pain, you know we f**k with you heavy in Texas.’ Really? What that s**t, Dallas? What did I do? Let me know what I did. Y’all don’t f**k with me, bro? What’s going on? I’ve worn cowboy hats many times, I used to raise horses, and I feel like I’m part of the city, you know? I’ve worn regular cowboy hats and Dallas cowboy hats. What the f**k?!”

Najm’s forthcoming concert would be part of his “Road to Wiscansin Tour” which is set to kick

off on May 10. at The Warfield Theatre in San Francisco, Calif.

In his TikTok video’s caption, he hinted that he’d also be calling out Buffalo, as ticket sales for his show have been disappointing also.

“BUFFALO YOU’RE NEXT!!!” he wrote.

The sales for his upstate, N.Y. show, and Dallas have only been at 39 percent and 26 percent, respectively.

Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson got wind of Najm’s social media comments, including a tweet where the musician questioned his venue choice. He claimed fans said the space didn’t have a good reputation, but Johnson ensured him it was safe.

“Dallas is the only Top 10 city in the U.S. where violent crime fell last year, and overall violent crime is down even more so far this year. So, you and your concertgoers should feel safe here. Our police [are] great, and [one of them is] tagged if you have questions. Enjoy Big D! @DPDChiefGarcia,” the mayor wrote.

Najm has since posted a new TikTok video wearing a red cowboy hat and matching outfit and a clip of his Nappy Boy Radio latest podcast episode.
