Earlier this month, T.I. faced a series of boos during Rip Micheals’ April Fools Comedy Jam at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

TMZ caught up with the aspiring comedian at an airport, and the former rapper said he was thankful for his haters while continuing to perfect his budding comedy career.

However, the 41-year-old started to question the hundreds of boos he received during his comedic performance in New York. He suggested the audience’s reaction to the jokes was ‘premeditated’ and ‘personal,’ claiming he had a standing ovation while telling the same jokes the following night at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

“I enjoyed every minute of it,” Harris said regarding his New York set. He agreed with the interviewer as he compared the audience’s reaction to both shows, insisting they differed.

“That’s the world we live in. I love every part of the process, every step of the journey. I accept it all,” he continued.

When asked again about the nature of the boos, the Atlanta native doubled down on his claim, saying he knew they were pre-planned.

“When I opened up for Dave — same jokes. Tore the house down. Those are the ones they booed. I know good and damn well those boos were personal. Those were not professional boos based off performance. Those boos were personal.”

Recently, T.I., born Clifford Harris, shared his experience with comedian Michael Blackson during an Instagram Live. He explained to Blackson what happened and claimed he seemingly won the crowd over toward the end of his set.

“Man, listen, bro. I had the greatest time. I had the best set of my comic career,” T.I. said. “I enjoyed myself, bro. I love that sh*t. What I will say is a motherf*cker went into some sh*t thinking it was going to go a certain way, had to make adjustments, and then turned that sh*t around and got the f*ck out of there. I love that sh*t, bruh. I love that sh*t. I’m here for that.”

He has a scheduled show during Easter weekend at the Comedy Factory in Baltimore on April 16.
