After the verdict found Sweetie Pie star Tim Norman guilty of all charges in the murder-for-hire trial, his mother and the staple of the Sweetie Pie franchise Robbie Montgomery shut down her final location, Sweetie Pieâs Upper Crust in St. Louis, Missouri, on Sept. 25 at 6 p.m.
A notice about the closing was posted on the restaurantâs door, and Montgomery posted an image on Instagram.
âThank you all so much for the many years of support,â she wrote in her captions.
Montgomery took to her comments encouraging supporters to visit their location in Jackson, Mississippi, located at 110E South Street.
The paper notice on the door read, âWe are closing to make more room for the more than four hundred million dollar, Cochran veterans hospital expansion.â
It continued, âWe thank each and every one of you for your 25 years of support. It has been a pleasure to serve you, your friends and families. We hope to have an opportunity to serve you in the future.â
Many took to the comment section to express their gratitude for her restaurant.
âMy family and I ate at your first location after church on west Florissant for years,â the person commented. âWe even brought our out of town guest to both locations. Thank you Ms. Robbie! It has been a pleasure to support your establishment.â
âI knew it,â another commenter wrote. âImminent Domain at itâs finest. They have knocked a lot of the surrounding buildings around the VA hospital over there & it was just a matter of time until the Upper Crest was goinâ to close there as well. Welp, no more Sweetie Pies in the STL no more!!! Thank you for the good food here Miss Robbie Aand if Iâm in Mississippi, I will definitely go there.â
As Sis2Sis has previously reported, Norman was found guilty of murdering Montgomeryâs nephew, Andre Montgomery Jr.
