Beauty mogul Supa Cent has always been transparent about her trials and tribulations. And her cosmetic surgery journey is no different. The 33-year-old entrepreneur recently opened up about her botched backlift surgery and subsequent surgery to repair the blundered operation.
On January 10, Supa posted about her 2020 trip to the Dominican Republic for a breast and backlift in the Caribbean-island nation. She revealed that the surgeon jacked up her backlift by removing too much fat, causing an unsightly shelf on her upper buttocks.
The New Orleans native, born Wuzzam Supa, was so unhappy with her new booty that she edited pictures to make it appear smaller.
“I’ve always been open & transparent about any surgery I’ve had done. I may not say a certain doctor because I wouldn’t recommend they work. But I’ll always say what procedures I’ve had done and when. In 2020 I had a breast and back lift in DR. The doctor lipoed my back so far down that it gave me a shelf at the top of my butt,” she wrote. “I absolutely hated it and was very insecure about it.”
Supa continued, “I never had a bbl or anything done to my butt, but once your waist gets smaller. Your butt stick out more. That’s why I always recommend? If you already have 🍎. Don’t get a bbl. See how the results look after lipo or tummy tuck. Then decide after. Not only did I hate my shelf, but that surgery left my butt looking boxy. I use to ask to get my butt edited on photos so it would look smaller because it was too damn big. So I decided to get it reconstructed and reduction to my bottom. Best decision I’ve made, and this is my last modification.”
“My surgeon who performed this surgery is @claudettepazgomez. Whom specializes in reconstruction surgery. That’s another thing I had to learn. Stop going to doctors who doesn’t specialize in the work you want. I did it twice and dealing with it. But the butt had to go. I shared the ins and outs about this surgery and previous surgeries on my YouTube, and I’ll answer questions in the comments. I always fly my own recovery nurse out @newyourecoveryhouse for pre & post-op. I shared the importance of having a nurse on my YouTube as well. You rude heifers and men who always in women business will be blocked if you coming negative. Thanks for listening. Love y’all. Full results are on the doctor page.”

Supa also posted before and after pictures.
The doctor responsible for her reconstructive surgery was Claudette Paz Gomez from Colombia. The result was outstanding, and Supa was excited about her redesigned backside.

Although cosmetic surgery in foreign countries like the Dominican Republic and Colombia is increasing in popularity, the CDC issued warnings about the dangers of getting popular procedures like BBLs, breast implants and other bodily enhancements outside of the United States.
Risks associated with medical tourism include infections, having procedures done by uncertified physicians, lax regulatory mandates by medical associations in foreign countries and the potential of needing reconstructive surgery like Supa’s case.
Supa plans to speak more about her process on YouTube.
