Warning: this Summer Walker article was written by a “geriatric” millennial.
Back in March, Walker announced that she had given birth to her daughter. The singer vowed that she would not be posting photos of her baby, as is the custom in American celebrity culture. Earlier this week, she changed her mind, and that decision ended with threats to call Child Protective Services and a debate about breastfeeding.
On Tuesday, she posted a photo of her baby’s legs dangling, and as of this writing, she has lived to regret it. Fans and others, who had the misfortune of seeing the post on their feed, chimed in to give their assessment (that’s what we’ll call it) of the photo and the baby. Of course, those comments ticked Walker off, and here we are.

Commenters took note of how thin Walker’s baby’s legs appeared in the photo. Someone who has an extraordinary amount of time on their hands and happened to have a previous photo of the baby decided to make a side-by-side comparison of her daughter’s fat rolls. The singer deleted the photos, but Onsite had the abbreviated anthology.

Notice, in one of the photos; Walker posted her kitchen where she was mixing some weird concoction of raw honey, hemp hearts, and other foods that will remain at the bottom of most people’s list next to baby bottles. In other words, people (rightfully) interpreted the photo to mean that she is feeding her baby –adult and possibly toxic food items instead of breastfeeding or using formula.
Those of us with meager experience with children know that babies under the age of one should not be given honey due to the risk of death or serious illness caused by a specific bacteria.
Walker clapped back at people for “roasting a baby” in an Instagram story.
“Yall: POST THE BABY B—H WE WANNA SEE! Also, y’all: roasting a baby who’s [sic] face you can’t even see. lol make it make sense,” Walker wrote. “In conclusion, mf’s is weird, and I will never post my baby, so stop asking.”
That fact is, nobody was roasting the baby. They were roasting her mother.

It is unknown what medical professional Summer Walker received the advice from to feed her infant daughter a potentially fatal diet. However, two things can be true at the same time. In this case, the two things that are certainly true are that internet pile ons are not nice, and the healthiest way to feed an infant is breastfeeding followed by formula. If Walker is truly feeding her baby forest smoothies, the public is right to be concerned.
In August, Walker, who came under fire for “mom-shaming” people who feed infants appropriately, then began a bizarre series of Instagram stories about being in a kerfuffle with someone at the club.

Needless to say, we are praying for Summer Walker and doubly for her baby.
