Actress Stacey Dash admitted to having a Vicodin addiction while appearing on The Dr. Oz Show On Oct. 14. Dash admitted to popping 18-20 pills daily and spending up to $10,000 per month on her drug habit.
The actress also opened up about being molested when she was only four years old, making her an angry child and teenager.
“I didn’t really remember until I was 17 and then I tried to kill myself.”
Dash said that her home life was unstable and noted that her father was a heroin addict. She also described the domestic abuse she suffered at the hands of a boyfriend when she was in her twenties that resulted in a broken arm.
“He would beat me so bad, I couldn’t get out of bed for two weeks. I couldn’t walk. He broke my arm, tied me to the bed for three days. Some part of me thought that’s what I deserved.”
Dash said that the Vicodin calmed her anger and gave her the ease to deal with life.
The former FOX pundit also said that she almost died due to her Vicodin addiction and was rushed to the hospital.
“I almost died,” said Dash. “My kidney’s were so infected that my blood was septic and my organs were shutting down. So, I got rushed to the hospital and I had to have a full blood transfusion. And I was in there for three weeks.
After using Vicodin again upon leaving the hospital for several days, she realized she was an addict and went to rehab. She has been clean for five years now and credits God for her recovery.

The 54-year-old Clueless star also touched on her stunt working as a pundit for FOX News and spreading her Uncle Tomfoolery theories to millions of viewers.
She repeatedly spewed her MAGA rhetoric on Fox & Friends before being fired from the network for cursing on air during a rant about former President Barack Obama. The actress later denounced Trump and has since apologized for her past rhetoric.
“I’m not homophobic. I’m not racist. I was just angry and it benefited me,” she said to Dr. Oz.
Dash also told The Daily Mail that she was sorry for her past comments and claimed she was no longer the same person.
“There are things that I am sorry for. Things that I did say, that I should not have said them the way I said them,” she said.
Dash has been divorced from Jeffery Marty for two years and focuses on her children and spirituality.
