Spice Believes Masturbating Welcomes ‘Sex Demons’ And Causes Relationship Problems

Grammy-nominated dancehall star Spice recently said that masturbating welcomes “sex demons” and causes relationship problems.

Spice revealed her thoughts on masturbation during the latest episode of famed radio personality Angela Yee’s podcast, Lip Service.

“Now, was it taboo to masturbate for you growing up? You know, like to play with yourself? Was that ever an issue?” Yee asked.

“So I used to play with myself, but when I got older, I found out what comes with it, I stopped,” the Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta cast member responded.

“What comes with it?” co-host GiGi Maguire asked out of curiousity.

Spice laughed before explaining her stance on the intimate act and gave a disclaimer in hopes viewers wouldn’t think she’s crazy.

“You know, when you masturbate, you’re having sex with a sex demon,” she said.

“I’ve never heard that,” Yee interjected.

“It’s a sex demon called Incubus and Succubus, so you have a male sex demon and a female sex demon,” the queen of Dancehall explained. “So when you masturbate, you’re having sex with a male sex demon.”

She added that the “sex demon” could cause conflicts between two parties in a relationship.

“It also will be in a relationship with you and cause problems in your actual relationship,” she said. “It really, literally will have sex with you, fall in love with you, everything. And it will [mess] up your relationship…And then you and your man can’t get along and stuff like that. Because you’re in a relationship with a demon.”

Spice’s belief about masturbation has come as a shock to many as she’s known for being sexually liberated–especially in her music. However, despite her thoughts, it’s said to have many health benefits. According to the National Women’s Health Network, it relieves menstrual cramps and muscle tension, reduces stress and promotes a better body image.

Spice was last seen promoting her new album Emancipated, which dropped on Aug. 26, and appearing on the 2022 BET Hip-Hop Awards on Oct. 4. She also revealed that she’s on award-winning rapper Nicki Minaj’s latest Dancehall and Soca collab record, “Likkle Miss” (remix).
