Soulja Boy’s Ex Girlfriend, Allegedly Raped, Assaulted, And Kidnapped, Won A Lawsuit Against Him

Soulja Boy must pay ex-girlfriend Kayla Meyers more than $230,000, a jury ruled after siding with her story in a civil lawsuit.

On April 21, a Los Angeles jury believed Meyers’ story that she was assaulted by ex-boyfriend rapper, who hit her in the head with a gun at a house party.

Meyers will receive $1,800 for mental health expenses, $234,100 for physical and emotional pain and suffering, and the Santa Monica Superior Court jury found that the rapper

acted with malice, oppression or fraud, which could trigger a second phase of a trial to determine whether Myers should be awarded punitive damages.

At the house party on Feb. 1, 2019, Myers got into a fight with Soulja Boy’s female assistant, which led to Soulja Boy, whose real name is DeAndre Cortez Way, violently addressing her himself.

Meyer alleged that Soulja Boy repeatedly punched her in the face, and she claimed that the musician instructed his male assistant, Tevin, to tie her up with extension cords, though some reports say she

was tied up with duct tape.

The assistant allegedly held Meyers hostage for six hours until she performed a sex act on him at his request in exchange for her freedom. Meyers said she agreed in order to escape.

The victim alleged that Soulja Boy instructed Tevin to take a bound Myers into the garage, drag her by her hair, and force her to take two showers.

After she was allegedly freed, leaving the house with three fractured ribs and a facial contusion, she called the police, who raided the house.

Guns and ammunition were found in the house, a direct violation of Soulja Boy’s parole.

Soulja Boy was taken to jail, but was released early in July 2019 due to time served and good behavior.

Soulja Boy denied assaulting Myers, saying that she was the aggressor in the confrontation with the rapper’s assistant.

Los Angeles District Attorney prosecutors previously declined to pursue charges in the same case due to lack of evidence.
