According to the Louis Vuitton website, this recent campaign is meant to embody the most core doctrines of the late Abloh. The style of clothes most prominent in the release is to “transmute[…] the dress codes popularly tied to societal archetypes and patchworks them in new ways,” The brand intends to use both fabric and techniques, allowing “gestures of surrealism to take the form [and] abstracting the familiar.”
Solange has always appreciated the arts and using unique mediums to tell a story. She once posted on Twitter, “Whether it be album artwork, stage design, or filmmaking, I’ve always sought to create new visual languages that embody expressions my other works can not communicate,” She continued to praise being able to work with Saint Heron, another institution that seeks to preserve and uphold art.
