Snoop Dogg And Wife Shante Broadus Launch Luxury Hair Scarf Line Honoring Daughter Cori

Multi-platinum-selling rap legend Snoop Dogg and his wife, Shante Broadus, have launched a luxury hair scarf line honoring their daughter, Cori Broadus.

According to Yahoo News, Cori announced the Broadus Collection by Shante & Snoop via her Instagram page on Sept. 13.

“The Broadus Collection is out now, I feel so lucky and blessed to be the inspiration behind this collection [brown heart emoji] stop what you’re doing and shop now!” she wrote.

Snoop and Shante reportedly dedicated the line to their daughter, as she previously wore hair scarves while experiencing hair loss from a Lupus diagnosis. She was diagnosed with the disease at just six years old.

Lupus is reportedly an autoimmune disease that can cause symptoms such as hair loss, trouble breathing, sun sensitivity, and joint and muscle pain. 1.5 million people are affected by the illness and, sadly, there’s no cure for it.

When Cori began wearing scarves in 2006, her family reportedly followed suit and adopted it as their signature look. After years of wearing other brands, however, Snoop came up with the idea of launching a family-owned line of hair scarves. Eventually, the Broadus Collection by Shante & Snoop–created under the Pennsylvania-based beauty line Annie International Inc.–was born.

“We’re wearing all of these scarves and they don’t have no names on ’em. We’re just buying them tons after tons after tons,” Snoop told ESSENCE. “We’re a family of business people so the next step was, how do we create a business out of this?”

His wife added that she loved “doing business with family.”

“I love doing business with the family because we’re all together, we’re helping out and thinking of things and just spending time together,” Shante told the magazine. “And it’s money being made at the end of the day.”

The luxury scarves reportedly come in six patterns: Africa, Black, Camo, Island Palm, Golden Tropics, and Floral Zebra, as well as two sizes: 15″ x 60″ and 36″ x 36″. There’s even a tutorial available on how to tie them on one’s head, courtesy of Snoop.
