Six-year-old Aubrey English received a surprise from singer Ciara while appearing on Good Morning America on Jan. 3. A video of Aubrey dancing to Ciara’s “Level Up” went viral on social media and caught the singer’s attention.
Ciara gifted Aubrey a vacation to Disney World and even brought Princess Tiana from The Princess and the Frog to deliver the message to the little warrior.
Aubrey, who is currently in remission, was diagnosed with a rare form of liver cancer called hepatoblastoma in 2018, just before she turned three years old. While undergoing treatment, the little girl enthusiastically danced to Ciara’s hit song “Level Up” at the hospital. Her mother posted a video of her daughter dancing on social media with an inspirational message.
“Dear childhood cancer, just so you know, I won’t give up. I won’t give in. You won’t take my spirit. You won’t take my spunk. You may be in my life but you don’t have my life.”
The video quickly went viral and caught the eye of Ciara, who also appeared on Good Morning America via video to give Aubrey her Disney World vacation. She also told the six-year-old she was a “Level Up Princess.”
“You are a real ‘Level Up’ princess so keep leveling up and inspiring so many, Aubrey. I’m so proud of you and rooting for you always,” said Ciara. “Oh my goodness. I’m in tears right now. Aubrey, I just want to say that you are a superhero. You are the real superhero, and I’m so impressed by your strength and how you never gave up in your battle against cancer. You inspire me and so many people and so many others.”
Her mother, Mikeon English, told Good Morning America that her daughter remained positive throughout her harsh treatments.
“She is a joy. She is really rambunctious,” said English. “She’s always been very positive, even on the worst day. She absolutely is my hero. She absolutely is.”
Aubrey’s three older siblings will also be going with her to Disney World.
