An R&B heartthrob from the 80s is currently in the hospital, recovering from an unexplained medical crisis. He also dispelled rumors that he was in a coma.
Christopher Williams’s Facebook page post said the “I’m Dreamin’” singer was in “stable condition and resting comfortably” after he was taken to the hospital.
“Contrary to reports on social media, Christopher Williams is NOT in a coma and is in stable condition and resting comfortably. Thank you for all of your prayers and well wishes.”
On Nov. “Nite And Day,” singer Al B. Sure shared the tragic news via social media. Al posted a picture of crooner Christopher Williams with the caption, “Please pray for my better-looking twin brother in a coma.”

Although Al called Christopher his brother, the two men are actually cousins. The “All I See” singer is also jazz legend Ella Fitzgerald’s nephew.
In the late 80s, the singer was known for his silky vocals and for being a pretty boy. He had a bit part in the 1991 hit film New Jack City, starring Wesley Snipes, Chris Rock and Ice-T. He released four studio albums between 1989-2001.
Christopher’s success was upended by a series of unfortunate events, including facing an alleged rape charge and being arrested for nonpayment of child support. The Bronx native was also taking notorious for handling matters street-style. He left Uptown Records after falling out with execs at the label.
The 54-year-old man shared his story in TVOne’s Unsung.
We wish Christopher a speedy recovery!
