The girlfriend of singer Akon, Rozina Negusei, will be joining the cast of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, according to Love B. Scott. The news comes just after longtime cast member Cynthia Bailey announced that she was leaving the reality show.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta will begin filming season 14 soon, and Negusei, a friend of longtime housewife Sheree Whitfield, will be filming with the ladies and sharing her luxurious lifestyle.
Prior claims that his wife was being cast on the show were proven wrong when Akon’s wife, Tomeka Thiam, denied joining the show on Sept. 27.
“I promise I am legally married to Kon,” she wrote. “I’m a very private person and if there is a fake wife joining the show It’s definitely not his real wife. These wives whoever they are be ALL 🧢. It’s Definitely not ME! ❤️.”
Akon supports polygamy and has six children with four women whom it is not confirmed if he is legally married to Negusei and the other “wives.”
The singer has previously stated that monogamy is stupid and that men are made to breed.
“You find that one woman that supplies everything that you desire in a woman, of course that will be a motivation to stick with that one woman, but I don’t know no one woman that can satisfy every man’s one need. It’s impossible.”
“Just like there’s not one man that can satisfy a woman’s every need, you know what i’m saying?. But women aren’t built to breed like that or mate with more than one partner. Women aren’t built that way, men are.”
Akon was ordered to pay Negusei $5000 per month in child support for their two sons, and their alternative lifestyle is sure to be a subject of the reality show.
Kenya Moore, Kandi Burruss and Drew Sedora are returning to RHOA, and Olympian Sanya Richards-Ross will join the cast for season 14.
