NFL player Jonathan Owens made it clear he is supportive of girlfriend Simone Biles’ decision to leave the Olympics to tend to her mental health.
Owen dedicated a touching Instagram post to his Olympian bae on Thursday evening. He posted a slide show featuring pictures of Biles and their love. In the post’s caption, he praised the gymnast for putting herself first.

“Imma ride with you through whatever baby,” Owens wrote. “Your strength and courage is unmatched, and you inspire me more and more every day, SB…You always gone be my champ, baby, and don’t you ever forget that. I love you so much, and I can’t wait till you come home and I get to see that beautiful smile again. You know I’m always here for you, baby.”
The GOAT returned Owens’ affection in her IG story.
“I love you so much,” she wrote.

Biles made headlines this week after announcing her withdrawal from the Olympic Games in Tokyo to focus on her mental health. The decision was a controversial one, but Biles received an outpouring of support from fans, celebrities and other athletes. She thanked her admirers on Wednesday.

U.S.A. Gymnastics affirmed Biles’ decision in a statement, per USA Today.
“We wholeheartedly support Simone’s decision and applaud her bravery in prioritizing her well-being,” the statement read. “Her courage shows, yet again, why she is a role model for so many.”
