Shooting Victim On Set Of Boosie Badazz Video, Pronounced Dead

On May 29, Torrance Ivy Hatch, better known to rap fans as Boosie Badazz, was shooting a music video when gunshots occurred. At the time, one person was injured, Deadline reported. Since then, the victim has died, and the suspect has been arrested and charged.

The shooting took place in Huntsville, Alabama, at around 4:30 p.m. When police arrived, somewhere between 50 and 100 people were fleeing for their lives while the victim lay on the ground wounded. A male in his 20s was transported to a local hospital by emergency personnel. Boosie stayed out of the line of fire.

A video of the shooting showed Boosie performing in the midst of the crowd. Some of those people had weapons. At some point, gunshots rang out, and the crowd began to scatter.

That evening, Boosie took to Twitter to dispel the apparent rumor that he was the intended target.

The next day, the victim was pronounced dead, and police were looking for a suspect, News 19 reported

.

Christopher Kwan Freeman, 22, turned himself into the Huntsville Police Department Sunday morning. The victim, Randall Strong Jr., 20, was in critical condition before he succumbed to his injuries.

Local news outlet WAFF reported that the shooting might have happened after an argument between Freeman and Strong. It is unknown if Boosie knew either of the parties, as the video shoot took place at a Huntsville Housing Authority property and attracted a crowd.

Boosie Badazz has had his fair share of near misses. In November, the rapper was shot in the leg while in Dallas, Texas, attending a vigil for deceased rapper MO3.

Boosie was not injured on Saturday. He has not commented on the most recent development in the case.
