Sheryl Underwood, TV personality and co-host of The Talk, celebrated her 59th birthday in a big way.
On Friday’s The Talk episode, Underwood was the guest of honor as she celebrated her birthday by revealing her new and improved “birthday body.”
Underwood strutted onto the stage in a form-fitting purple dress and heels in the episode while Bell Biv DeVoe sang, “She’s Dope!”
During the episode, Underwood got candid about her weight loss journey.
“As you all know, I’ve lost 95 pounds, and I’ve made significant life changes, ” she said. Underwood was originally around 250 lbs, with health issues like hypertension and diabetes creeping up on her.“I was not healthy, and I want to live a long, long time, and I want to be sitting on this stage a long, long time,” she continued.Underwood shared more on her weight loss journey, saying, “So, I worked hard with my doctors. I’m about to cross my legs.”She told PEOPLE, “For the years that I’ve been here, you can go back through all of the footage; you’ve never seen me cross my legs.”
She added, “You see, I crossed my leg twice. You just want to feel sexy, and that’s the great feeling about this, and it makes you continue on this journey.”
Underwood also offered some advice to those looking to lose weight. “You got to do the lifestyle change. It’s not just one thing. It’s everything that you can change your life.”
