Tiffany Haddish’s career has been on fire, and the 42-year old actress has yet to reach the pinnacle of success. On Sunday, the Girl’s Trip actress had time to school one Academy Awards red carpet reporter on how she got down, and the read was glorious.
Lauren Zima from Entertainment Tonight spoke with Haddish as she made her way down the red carpet in a stunning custom-made, bedazzled couture ensemble.
Zima asked the multi-faceted entertainer, “Did you do a little costume change?”
Haddish, recognizing the slight, corrected the goofy reporter.
“Um, I’m not wearing a costume. I’m wearing Dolce and Gabbana. It’s called an evening gown, darling.”
An embarrassed Zima tried to clean up the gaffe, but Haddish continued applying pressure on the woman.
“It’s custom, thank you.”
“Time of death for me? Right now. “You look gorgeous,” she said, attempting to redeem herself, but Haddish kept her designer shoe-wearing foot on her neck.
“This is not an acting gig. This is my life. This what fame look like,” Haddish said with a shady smile. “This what success look like. This what money look like. This what it look like. I’m just trying to accomplish a lot of things before 50. What are you doing?”
Not allowing Zima to get a word in edgewise, Haddish continued her shady retort.
“You out here with no shoes on, I’m jealous.”
“I’m out here with no shoes on,” Zima responded.
Black women went up for the She Ready comedienne online.
Haddish cooked Zima with class, and we love to see it.
