NBA veteran and sports analyst Shaquille O’Neal and his ex-wife, TV personality Shaunie O’Neal, threw a luxe Sweet 16 party for their daughter, Me’arah O’Neal’s birthday.
Shaunie took to her Instagram page on May 17 to share a fun video clip of the club-themed party called “Me’arah’s 16/16 Club.”
“Such a good time in LA celebrating my daughter @mearahoneal_ sweet 16,” she wrote in the post’s caption. “This was one of the rare times that I had all the kids together in one place. Side Note: My vocals were on point, don’t hate.”

Family and friends gathered together for the Sweet 16, which took place in Los Angeles, Calif. Attendees included her brothers, Myles O’Neal, Shaqir O’Neal, and Shareef O’Neal, and her sister Amirah O’Neal.
Me’arah also took to Instagram to share photos from her birthday celebration.
“Meezy’s 16/16 club,” she wrote on Apr. 30.

On May 18, she uploaded more intimate moments from the event: pictures of herself hugging her father, a separate one of herself embracing her mom, and another of all three of them standing together.
“Iloveyou,” the post’s caption said.

Both Shaquille and Shaunie commented on it saying, “love you more baby,” and “I love you more,” respectively.
The two divorced in 2011 after separating in 2007, as they were married for five years after they wed in 2002.
“I had the perfect situation. My wife was fine [and] kept giving me babies. Still fine. I had it all. I don’t make excuses. I know I messed up,” Shaquille said in a recent podcast interview.
In the interview, he also revealed that he favored his daughters over his sons because “they’re more sensitive, more caring, and they’re thinkers.”
He also said he trusted his girls more and that he liked them better “because as a man, you have to protect, provide, and love for your woman.”
