Sha’Carri Richardson Shows Off Natural Hair

Sha’Carri Richardson showed off her natural hair in an Instagram Story clip captured by Hollywood Unlocked on Jan. 6. Richardson is known for her track and fields skills and her colorful wigs.

In the video clip featuring her beautiful crown, Richardson showed off her thick head of natural curls and perfect edges.

Hollywood Unlocked published the clip and captioned the video “#LaidOrPlayed.”

“#LaidOrPlayed: #ShaCarri Richardson shows off her natural hair. 💙💙 Y’all feel it??😍👇🏾📸:.”

The track and field star has shown off her crown before. Richardson shared video clips of her glorious crown last summer in pictures published by Allure.

Richardson became the sixth-fastest woman in history last April when she ran at the 2021 Miramar Invitational. She was favored to win a Gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics before testing positive for THC and was suspended for one month. Her mother had recently died, and Richardson was still grieving when she tested positive and was disqualified from the Olympics.

“I apologize for the fact that I didn’t know how to control my emotions or deal with my emotions during that time,” said Richardson.

Richardson took responsibility for her mistake and noted she broke the rules to deal with her grief.

“I know what I’m not allowed to do and I still made that decision,” she admitted. “I’m not making an excuse or looking for any empathy.”

Despite missing her chance at the Olympics in Tokyo, Richardson is looking ahead to the Olympics in 2024 and the World Championships.

“I’m sorry, I can’t be y’all Olympic Champ this year but I promise I’ll be your World Champ next year.”

After a disappointing return following her suspension, critics speculated

about her greatness. However, Richardson let them know she was not finished.

“Count me out if you want to,” she said. “Talk all the s**t you want, ’cause I’m here to stay. I’m not done. I’m the sixth-fastest woman in this game, ever. And can’t nobody ever take that from me. Congratulations to the winners. Congratulations to the people that won, but they’re not done seeing me yet. Period.”
