Seven Kids? Ne-Yo Admits To Cheating On His Ex-Wife, Now Wants Paternity Test For Two Newborns

Ne-Yo, whose real name is Shaffer Smith, believes he is the father of his mistress Sade Bagnerise’s two children, Braiden Bagnerise and Brixton Smith while he was married to ex-wife Crystal Smith, but he is requesting a paternity test.

Ne-Yo cheated on Crystal with Instagram model Sade, which resulted in her giving birth to Braiden in 2021, and Brixton, who was born in February of this year.

In total, Ne-Yo, without any doubt, has five children between two women, Isabella Rose, 1, Roman Alexander-Raj, 4, and Shaffer Chimere Jr., 6, with biological mother Crystal, and Madilyn Grace Smith in November 2010 and a son, Mason Evan Smith, with ex-fiancée Monyetta Shaw, Hollywood Life reported.

During Crystal and Ne-Yo’s divorce proceedings, in which she accused the singer of having a love child, the court ruled that Ne-Yo had to pay $12,000 a month in child support for their three children, cover the children’s school expenses, award his ex-wife $1.6 million, pay $150,000 for her new car, give her one of his properties and give her $20,000 to help her relocate.

As part of their agreement, Crystal will be responsible for paying $3,000 per month in alimony for the next three years. Additionally, they have agreed to share joint custody of their children.

Ne-Yo’s infidelity is the reason why Crystal wanted to move on, with his ex-wife saying on Instagram, “8 years of lies and deception. 8 years of unknowingly sharing my life and husband with numerous of women who sell their bodies to him unprotected … every last one of them! To say I’m heartbroken and disgusted is an understatement. To ask me to stay and accept it is absolutely insane. The mentality of a narcissist.”

Sade is one of the women Crystal was referring to, and it is apparent Ne-Yo is looking for a way to use his fatherhood for financial relief.

The singer’s explanation for why he filed the petition is to have a DNA blood analysis test that would enable him to have “joint physical custody of the minor children,” court documents obtained by RadarOnline reported.

A parent may be required to make support payments regardless of whether he or she has joint or primary physical custody of the child, but the custody arrangement is a determining factor in the support obligation.

Following

the news, gossip blogs are suggesting that Ne-Yo may be seeking a means to have a say in determining child support payments for his two youngest children as he seeks better parental rights over them.

The singer requested that the court grant him joint legal custody of the children so that he could have a say in matters related to their education and healthcare.

According to Ne-Yo, he has been providing financial support for his children and spending quality parenting time with them regularly. He is now seeking the court’s intervention to establish the appropriate amount of child support that he needs to pay.

In addition, he is requesting Braiden’s last name be changed to Smith. Sade has not yet responded to the petition.

The singer said he desires a “liberal parenting time schedule” with the kids.

Even if the children are not Ne-Yo’s, in certain cases in family court, a nonbiological parent could end up paying for child support.

Whether a non-biological parent is required to pay child support depends on the laws of the state in which they live. In some states, a non-biological parent may be required to pay child support if they have a legal or equitable parent-child relationship with the child. This means that the non-biological parent has acted as a parent to the child, for example by providing financial support, emotional support, or a home.
