The highly-anticipated third season of the hit FX show Atlanta has finished filming, according to Deadline. Not only is season 3 of the show finished, but season 4 is also already in production.
The popular show has been on hiatus for several years and has not aired any new episodes since 2018. Due to the coronavirus, production shut down in 2020, and the show moved the production to Europe. Filming began in January.
Atlanta is a dramedy series about the music scene in Atlanta, Ga. and stars Zazie Beetz, Danny Glover, Brian Tyree Henry and LaKeith Stanfield. The show has won five Emmy Awards, including two won by Glover for Best Comedy Director and Lead Actor in a Comedy Series.
The hit television show is also available on Hulu. A teaser trailer was dropped to announce that both seasons were now available on the streaming service.

The chairman of FX, John Landgraf, said that season 3 is currently in post-production and that season 4 is currently in production. He also said that he loves the scripts for both seasons.
“We haven’t locked down the scheduling for Season 3 yet as it just finished shooting — it’s shot primarily in Europe,” he said. “It’s in post-production and it’s a lengthy post-production process, and part of that is because they’re currently in production of Season 4 in Atlanta. All the scripts for that season have been written, and I absolutely adore the scripts for both seasons.”
Landgraf added that an exact date would be available within a few months.
“I think we’ll be able to lock down an actual date for 3 and maybe for both cycles within the next couple of months.”
While an exact release date for Atlanta has yet to be set, both seasons 3 and 4 of Atlanta will debut early in 2022.
