Search Ends In Tragedy After Bodies Of Three Missing Michigan Rappers Discovered In Abandoned Highland Park Apartment Building

The families of three Michigan rappers, who went missing from Detroit’s east side, are grieving after a coroner determined that the bodies of three men found in an abandoned Highland Park apartment building– were the emcees.

On Friday, the Wayne County Medical Examiner confirmed

the deaths of Armani Kelly, 28, Montoya Givens, 31 and Dante Wicker, 31, according to FOX 2 Detroit. The men’s bodies were found frozen in the basement of the abandoned apartment located on Six Mile and Log Cabin in Highland Park on Thursday. Michigan State Police Lieutenant Mike Shaw disclosed that Armani, Dante and Montoya were murdered on the second floor of the building, and their corpses were moved to the lower level of the complex.

No arrests have been made, but the news outlet reported that an unidentified person of interest is being investigated. Another potential suspect has also been tied to the triple homicide and is in police custody in Tennessee. Although Michigan State Police claim a 15-year-old teen boy is not a murder suspect, he was arrested and charged with concealing and receiving a stolen vehicle and possession of tools for a burglary. The teen

was reportedly driving Armani’s mother’s car, which she tracked using OnStar.

About her missing son, Lorrie Kemp said, “I don’t know who to trust, I don’t know who to believe — but I’m not going to stop. I’m angry. I’m mad. I’m getting tired.”

On January 21, Armani, Dante and Montoya set out to perform at Lounge 31 on the east side of Detroit. However, the performance was canceled. Kemp reported her son missing on January 23 after he failed to return to Oscoda. On January 27, the families of Dante, from Melvindale, and Montoya of Detroit reported their loved ones missing following the news broadcast that said the Oscoda man hadn’t returned home. Cellphone activity for the three rappers stopped on January 22.

As police continue to investigate the triple homicide, the three rappers’ families are preparing to make funeral arrangements. The Wayne County Medical Examiner has not determined a cause of death.
