Safaree Samuels Threatens to Leave ‘Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta’ After They Show Him Laughing At His Crying Baby

Safaree Samuels threatened to leave Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta after the show aired a clip of him supposedly laughing at his daughter after she fell.

The mishap occurred while Samuels and estranged wife Erica Mena were discussing the gender of their second baby during the latest episode. As the couple talked, their daughter Safire was playing nearby. After a run-in with a guitar, the one-year-old fell. Mena sprang into action while Samuels sat back and chuckled.

His behavior sparked an argument with Mena, who later complained about his immaturity.

“This moment is probably setting me up to get ready for what my life is about to be,” she said during a confessional scene. “Me having to hold down my babies by myself, even when they’re hurting because Daddy finds it to be funny. But it just proves how immature he is.”

Viewers also had some choice words for Samuels.

He was not happy about the backlash and blamed the show’s producers.

“And y’all LHH editors ain’t shit. we told y’all not to air my baby falling, and y’all still used it,” Samuels tweeted. “Had us reshoot a whole bunch of bullshit, and y’all still used that. Y’all don’t have no respect because that was not my response of me finding out I was having a boy!”

In a subsequent tweet, Samuels threatened to quit the show.

“That was tacky and tasteless!! It’s definitely about to be a wrap on my time with y’all,” he wrote. “Y’all be wanting too much of ppl time to be doin’ dat type of wack shit!! We filmed a hr long convo for that scene, and y’all chop it to 3 mins and use that and make it a focal point. Weak.”

The couple’s troubled relationship is on display for the current season of Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta. They’re also beefing away from the cameras as the battle over their divorce and custody of their children. On Friday, he dropped his latest single, “Liar,” which appears to be a diss track targeting Mena.

Dude, grow up.
