Safaree Samuels Announces: “I’m A Deadbeat.”

Safaree Samuels has taken to social media to complain about a narrative that paints him as a deadbeat and criticizes his dedication to parenting his children.

Samuels is one of the cast members of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta so it is not unreasonable that he would be involved in his fair share of mess at some point.

In recent months, whatever reputation he had has steadily declined as he insulted his wife for gaining too much weight while carrying his child, announced their divorce, her second pregnancy and then partied while his newborn son was in the NICU.

Now, Samuels has gone on Twitter to admonish those who have issues with his parenting, or lack thereof, to keep in mind that his appearance on the VHI reality show is a crafted narrative to steer public opinion.

What brought this on?

Erica Mena, Samuels’ estranged wife, posted a photo insinuating that her infant son is the man of the house.

This is not the first time Samuels has accused the production staff at Love & Hip-Hop of making him look bad.

On a recent episode, their eldest child toddled into a guitar stand and fell. Samuels sat and laughed while his wife ran to the child. At the time, he threatened to quit the show for how they portrayed him but did not deny that he laughed at his child falling.

His estranged wife has constantly taken to social media to subtly vent about him exhibiting deadbeat behavior.

Deadbeat or not, nobody watches reality television for parenting tips. People see what Samuels gives.
