Russell Wilson remains unbothered as The Pivot podcast host Channing Crowder continues his hateration of the star quarterback’s relationship with his wife, “Level Up” singer Ciara.
On June 10, Russell pulled up on his spouse of over five years with a gorgeous bouquet of exotic flowers and a surprise visit. The loving NFL vet playfully ambushed Ciara– as she prepared to attend an event. Cici was dressed to the nines wearing a body-conscious white dress paired with matching strappy heels. She squealed with delight when she saw Russell, running and jumping into his arms– as someone captured the moment on video.
“Oh My Goodness,” the Cici yelled as she embraced her husband. “What the heck? What are you doing here? Oh my God. Babe. Oh my Goodness.”
The Denver Bronco quarterback then posted the video of the endearing moment with a message to his haters on Instagram.
“Stay Squared Up, my friends.#SurpriseSurprise @Ciara”

On June 7, President of the He-Man Russell Hater Club, Channing, appeared on The Breakfast Club along with fellow podcast hosts Fred Taylor and Ryan Clark. Charlamagne da God mentioned his shi**y take on Russell bagging Ciara in 2015. Channing called the doting husband a “square,” “lame,” and a “goofball,” among other things.
The Pivot host stood behind what he said when Charlamagne asked him about the heat he received. However, he did acquiesce to talking ill about the couple as a whole.
“I did creep in the G code, locker room, bringing up Ciara and why they’re together. Actually, Fred and R.C. – they got on me like Bro, you know, saying she wants her peace. You know you can transition, go to different situations.’… So bringing up Ciara and bring up that man’s family, I take that back.”
Channing then shifted his reason for calling him a “square” and a “lame.”
“Have y’all seen Russell’s videos? You’ve seen ‘Mr. Unlimited,’” he asked.
Channing added, “I don’t know why so many people were so mad at my opinion that Russell Wilson is a square and a lame.”
His cohost, Ryan, came to his defense and stated he agreed that Russell was a “square.”
“I also agree that he [Wilson] is square. I think the thing that frustrated me is like now people are coming at us like you can’t say anything about it because of the couple.”
He continued, “I had the conversations with people, which I love being able to have those conversations. I was like, look in 2016 when Michael Bennett’s walking off the stage in a Black Lives Matter shirt, and they asked Russell Wilson, he says police lives matter, and everybody lives matter course, Black Lives Matter.”
Ryan explained that the 33-year-old athlete’s response was a little too vanilla for his taste, and although Russell changed his stance in 2020– he wasn’t feeling him.
“In 2020, like things change, your mind change. You are married to a Black woman, and you have Black kids. So now those things are important. In 2020, he gives this impassioned speech on the ESPYs. That’s cool, right, but for me, somebody who’s the same way in ’16 and white people calling me racist, and then in 2020, I’m getting calls every time I get off a TV that my voice is needed that is square to me.”
As the video clip circulated, Russell took to Instagram– again– to show the men just how “squares” got down with their baddies.
“My Always & Forever. Mommy & Daddy. @Ciara.”
Ciara responded in the comments, “My Baby Boo. I love date nights with you.”

The couple’s fans appeared to root for them in the comment section.
“If this is corny, I want that,” one woman wrote.
“Beautiful couple inside and out. Keep living your blessed life. ❤️❤️”
“I love you guys!! My faves fa eva!!! Russ, keep da main thang da main thang and go out there and let it be known!!! In Russ, I trust 🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣❤️❤️❤️,” someone else wrote.
Hopefully, Channing and his crew got the not-so-subtle message and will keep Russell’s name out of their mouths.
Squares 2, Haters 0. We love to see it!
