Russell “Block” Spencer’s recent appearance on DJ Vlad’s Youtube show wasn’t a good look for the producer and father to singer Kandi Burruss’ oldest daughter Riley, 19.
On March 28, Block lambasted Kandi for still asking for child support even though the money-minded businesswoman is worth an estimated $30 million.
Giving deadbeat realness, Block told Vlad, “How do you have more money than me, [my other children’s] mom, and you put me on child support?”
He also shared his thoughts on being accused of not being a good father to Riley.
“I raised kids that weren’t by us, and [Kandi] knew this. That was one of her attractions to me. I raised kids that weren’t by us. Why wouldn’t I raise mine?”
Seemingly trying to justify not being present in his daughter’s life or paying child support, Block rambled on about being a good father to his gaggle of children. He also claimed that Riley was jealous of the relationship with his other children.
“I think a lot of people get in her head,” Block added. “It’s a lot of jealousy because all of my kids live with me. I’ve got three daughters and three boys. Every last one of them lives with me except Riley. Every last one of my kids lives with me from when they’re born until they graduate except Kandi’s [daughter]. I’ve got an accomplished name, [and I gave my kids who lived with me] a lot of stuff. And I think it’s a lot of jealousy because Riley wasn’t in that situation because her mom put me on child support.”
On April 6, Kandi took to Instagram to let Block know that he needn’t be worried about her checks and handle his business.
“I DON’T CARE HOW WELL I’M DOING, I STILL NEED THAT MONEY YOU OWE ME.”
Kandi continued, “Don’t BLOCK your blessings not doing right by your children.”
Once footage of the video circulated, folks weighed on his bogus commentary.
Riley eloquently clapped back in The Shade Room’s comment section at her father’s claims, expressing her dismay and asking that the man keep her and her mother’s name out of his mouth.
“My mom and I always try to take the high road. But honestly, it’s really upsetting that I constantly have to see you badmouthing us publicly. I was blessed to be raised in a household where my mom provided the best life I could have. No jealousy here. I would appreciate it if you could stop talking about us.”
If Block is such a good father and takes such great care of his children, then it should be nothing to pay the alleged $100,000 he reportedly owes Kandi in child support. With a reported net worth of $10,000,000, one percent shouldn’t be a problem for a man who claims not to be a deadbeat, right?
