Singer and entrepreneur Rihanna has said that she wants to use her status as a billionaire to inspire other immigrants, according to Blavity. Forbes magazine has estimated her worth at $1.7 billion.
Most of the singer’s wealth comes from her cosmetics and lingerie lines, Fenty Beauty and Savage X Fenty. Her successful career as a musician and actress is also part of the singer’s success.
Rihanna told the New York Times that she enjoyed inspiring young people, especially immigrants and the children of immigrants.
“It feels good to be able to inspire young women and boys, who like me, come from humble beginnings, who come from parents who are immigrants or who are immigrants themselves, to be able to do this,” said the singer.
The 33-year-old also plans to use her wealth to continue funding her charity, the Clara Lionel Foundation, which provides emergency response aid during natural disasters. Rihanna named the foundation in honor of her grandparents.
“Every dollar I make, I want to give it back. When it comes to people who need help, it hurts when I can’t do as much as I want, so now we’re just putting our foot down and CL.F. is about to grow in a way that I’m really proud of.”

The busy singer was credited with her inclusivity during her Savage X Fenty show Volume 3 on Sept. 24 in New York. However, she was also accused of cultural appropriation for having Vanessa Hudgens and Emily Ratajkowski appear on the runway with braided hairstyles. Rihanna was once accused of cultural appropriation for unwittingly using sacred religious verses while featuring music by a Muslim artist.

In addition to her cosmetics and lingerie lines, the singer is still creating music. Rihanna’s last album was “Anti” in 2016, and fans have been eager for another album. The singer told Vogue in 2020 that she was working on another album. She also said that she plans to have children. When asked where she’d be in 10 years time, she responded that she’d probably have three or four children.
“Ten years? I’ll be 42! I’ll be ancient,” she said. “I’ll have kids. Three or four of ’em.”
