Rihanna threw a little shade at the Olympics while complimenting a series of selfies from suspended track star Sha’Carri Richardson.

Richardson posted the photos on her personal Instagram account Monday. In the photos, she is wearing a beautiful metallic dress and sultry burgundy hair. Her comment section was filled with positivity and compliments on her appearance. Rihanna took it a step further by noting how comfortable Richardson’s bed looked compared to those in the Olympic athlete village.

“Yassss for the non-cardboard bed,” the Fenty Beauty mogul wrote.

Rihanna’s comment didn’t go unnoticed and produced a thread full of laughing and skull emojis.

“Sis, you got RiRi in ya comments…yesssssssss,” wrote one commenter.

“You so petty for this comment, and I am HERE FOR IT!” commented another fan.

“Our petty queen is HERE,” stated another.

Rihanna’s comment refers to the beds in the Olympic village in Tokyo, which are made from cardboard and will be fitted with polyethylene mattresses, per USA Today. The beds, made by Japanese bedding company Airweave, are completely recyclable.

“(The beds) will be recycled into paper products after the Games, with the mattress components recycled into new plastic products,” stated a news release from Tokyo village organizer Takashi Kitajima. “This will be the first time in Olympic and Paralympic history that all beds and bedding are made almost entirely from renewable materials.”

This week, the beds made headlines when a rumor about the beds being “anti-sex” spread across the internet. It popped off when runner Paul Chelimo posted his thoughts about their purpose on Twitter.

“Beds to be installed in Tokyo Olympic Village will be made of cardboard. This is aimed at avoiding intimacy among athletes,” he tweeted. “Beds will be able to withstand the weight of a single person to avoid situations beyond sports. I see no problem for distance runners. Even 4 of us can do.”

The rumor turned out to be false. According to Kitajima, the beds can support up to 440 pounds of weight and are intended to keep the athletes comfortable.

Gymnast Rhys McClenaghan debunked the rumor as “fake news” and jumped on his bed to prove his point.

Meanwhile, Richardson is staying busy despite her suspension. The 21-year-old was suspended last month after she tested positive for THC, a chemical found in marijuana. Richardson was featured

in a Beats By Dre commercial, which premiered during Game 6 of the NBA finals, reported TMZ.

Richardson also received an offer for a $250,000 endorsement deal from a cannabis company. With Rihanna in her corner, we hope a Savage X Fenty campaign is next.
