Rihanna Steps Down As CEO Of Savage X Fenty

In a surprising move, music sensation Rihanna is stepping down as CEO of Savage X Fenty, the inclusive lingerie brand she co-owns with investors including LVMH.

Hillary Super, former CEO of Anthropologie Group, will take over the reins as the brand’s new CEO, effective from June 26. Rihanna, with a personal net worth of over $1.4 billion, will continue to play a vital role as the executive chair.

Reflecting on the brand’s impact over the past five years, Rihanna expresses her gratitude and excitement for the future. She states, “This is just the beginning for us, and we’re going to continue to expand in ways that always connect with the consumer. I’m so grateful and excited to welcome Hillary Super as our new CEO — she is a strong leader and is focused on taking the business to an even higher level.”

Hillary Super brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having served as the global CEO at Anthropologie Group for four years. She has also held leadership positions at renowned retailers such as Guess, American Eagle, Gap, and Old Navy. Super expresses her enthusiasm for joining the Savage X Fenty family, highlighting the brand’s influence in the lingerie and apparel industry and its commitment to inclusivity and fearlessness.

As Super assumes leadership, Savage X Fenty is aiming to expand its retail footprint beyond e-commerce and venture into bricks-and-mortar stores while exploring wholesale opportunities. The brand has already opened seven stores in major US cities since early 2022, including Los Angeles, Houston, Las Vegas, and Atlanta.

As Rihanna continues her involvement in the brand as executive chair, the appointment of Hillary Super as CEO signals an exciting new chapter for Savage X Fenty.
