Rihanna Partnered With Apple For Documentary, Featuring Her Super Bowl Half-Time Performance

Rihanna stans will get a behind-the-scenes look at her big comeback performance at the 2023 Super Bowl half-time show through her pending documentary.

Sources close to the singer revealed to The Sun that the “Rude Boy” singer signed a deal with Apple to make the documentary that would chronicle her journey back to the stage after having her first child.

“There is a massive appetite for everything to do with Rihanna, especially as this will be her major return to the stage for the first time in years,” an insider said. “She will be recorded during rehearsals and meetings in the lead-up to the big night and give an insight into what her life is really like now she is returning to pop as a [mom].”

The source added, “Rihanna is a massive force to be reckoned with when it comes to music, and so Apple has paid millions.”

The documentary will give fans a look at the transition Rihanna had to endure before rocking the half-time show stage after going through a music hiatus and having her first child.

Besides the occasional collaborations like “Wild Thoughts” with DJ Khaled and “Loyalty” with Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna didn’t release any music after her 2016 smash hit, “Work.” She did, however, put her focus into her Fenty Beauty line and Savage x Fenty brand.

Then, the news about her and rapper A$AP Rocky expecting their first child broke at the beginning of the year. A few years later, the couple welcomed

their baby boy into the world on May 13 in Los Angeles.

When it seemed as though the world may never see the new mother perform, she slyly announced her headlining the 2023 Super Bowl half-time show on Instagram on Sept 25. She also released her latest track, “Lift Me Up,” a lyrical tribute to the late Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman that was featured in the film’s sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

“The Super Bowl is one of, if not the biggest, stages in the world, so her show was always going to be huge,” the source said. “Add on top that it’s a live comeback, and the pressure is immense. She is keen for the world to remember why she is one of the greatest performers of all time.”
