Rihanna Jokes Online That “Happiness Comes From Drugs, Not Relationships”

Love is in the air for Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, who’ve seemingly confirmed dating rumors with their multiple public outings, as well as the New York-born rapper professing his love for the songstress in a recent interview with GQ Magazine. But joking online this past week, Rihanna added her two cents to a post about happiness not coming from being single or in a relationship, but drugs.

Known for puffing on the occasional blunt, the “Pon De Replay” singer replied to an Instagram post

reading, “If you aren’t happy single, you won’t be happy taken. Happiness comes from drugs, not relationships.”

Adding a caption, the online user added, “I mean…blunts do make me smile more than men do.”

Rihanna, aptly known as @badgalriri on Instagram, entered the user’s comments to let them know that she couldn’t relate more, writing, “If I was a paragraph.”

Speculating that her comments could be a dig at her new beau, one person commented on Instagram in response, “He done got on her nerves already,” followed by several laughing emojis.

Another user joked, “Damn Rock… she pretty much said you ain’t it G.”

Known for being private throughout her relationships, Rihanna has never spoken openly about her romance with A$AP Rocky, who was featured in a men’s campaign for her beauty brand Fenty Skin in 2020.

On the other hand, A$AP Rocky readily gushed about the “Love on the Brain” in May, referring to her as the love of his life to GQ, who named him this year’s “Prettiest Man Alive.”

He continued at the time, “So much better when you got the One. She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones. I think when you know, you know. She’s the One.”

Do you think Rihanna feels the same and just isn’t as publicly romantic/affectionate? Let us know your perspective in the comments.
