Rick Ross has reportedly been causing a stir in his Georgia neighborhood with his unusual choice of pets – buffaloes.
According to TMZ, on March 13, one of Ross’ neighbors in Fayetteville, Georgia, recently called the police after the two buffaloes were seen grazing on her property.
According to WSBTV, The neighbor, who shared footage of the buffaloes on her land, reached out to a member of Ross’ team, expressing concern about the safety of her young children. She also reported the incident to the police, but was told it was a civil dispute and no report was taken.
The buffaloes were reportedly gifted to Ross by his business partner, Darius Burton, in March 2022. Burton, who is also the owner of the Ethika clothing line, wanted to get Ross a unique pet and decided on buffaloes after the rapper rejected the idea of owning a giraffe.
“We are gifting Ross these Buffalo after a conversation at his birthday party back in January,” Burton said at the time, according to Rolling Stone. “I wanted to get him a giraffe but he wasn’t ready for that commitment so he said let’s start smaller, like a cow. I said nah, everyone has cows, I want you to have something nobody in your state has, I’m getting you a buffalo.”
While owning livestock in Fayette County is legal, the owner is responsible for properly restraining the animals. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that they are working with the Fayette County Marshal’s Office to address the situation.

As previously reported by Sis2Sis, Ross has been making his farmer dreams come true. He purchased his first bull early last year. The farm animal is the latest addition to the Biggest Bawse’s massive Georgia property, which already has several horses.
While not everyone may appreciate his choice of pets, there is no denying that the rapper has a passion for animals that is both intriguing and entertaining.
