Saweetie is rumored to be dating fellow California rapper YG, who reportedly gives her a six-figure allowance.
Saweetie, who performed
at Coachella on April 16, was spotted with YG, according to Vibe magazine. The spot follows after the two rappers were previously spotted at Rolling Loud California together in March.
The rumor of a relationship between the two is also intensifying as some outlets have reported that YG, whose real name is Keenon Dequan Ray Jackson and who has a net worth of $5 million, is sending money to Saweetie, whose real name is Diamonté Quiava Valentin Harper and who has a net worth of $4 million, every month.
Media Takeout, not known for being a reputable outlet, has reported a bold claim: A person close to YG said he gave Saweetie a credit card with a spending limit of up to $300,000 a month. The card will be used for anything she wants, the gossip blog reported.
Though the report is sketchy, it’s in line with Saweetie’s past behavior with former Migos artist and ex-boyfriend Quavo, who was expected to pay bills or give her luxury items at the time of their relationship from 2018 until their announced split in March 2021.
“If he not getting you a Birkin, if he not paying for your bills, then throw that n**** back to the streets, OK?,” Saweetie said in 2020 when she was with Quavo.
A Birka Bag, often considered a status symbol and are sought after by collectors and fashion enthusiasts, can cost tens of thousands of dollars, and there can be waiting lists to purchase them from Hermès boutiques. The bags are highly sought-after luxury items made by the French fashion house that actually handmade in Ethiopia.
The magazine stated neither she nor YG has spoken about these dating rumors.
