Real Housewives of Potomac Drama: Candiace Dillard Accused Of Body-Shaming Ashley Darby

Real Housewives of Potomac firebrand Candiace Dillard has landed in hot water. She is being accused of body-shaming fellow castmate Ashley Darby in the course of an argument on the show’s most recent episode.

During a birthday brunch for castmate Robyn Dixon, Dillard again confronted Darby for her role in causing a verbal sparring match between Wendy Osefo and Gizelle Bryant on a girls’ trip that Dillard planned. At the time, the argument was about rumors of Eddie Osefo cheating and having an outside baby.

Darby was not invited on the trip but in true reality television messiness, Bryant decided to invite her so that she could relax in the midst of taking care of her newborn and toddler sons. Darby, who has struggled with post-partum depression after her first child’s birth, accepted Bryant’s invitation.

Although Dillard briefly approached Darby as she gathered her breastmilk to leave after having had the conversation with Osefo that sparked the war of words, she apparently was not satisfied with the interaction.

When Darby arrived at the brunch, Dillard almost immediately went in on her.

“You brought your widebody a*s down to Williamsburg to spread lies and bullsh*t and then you took off with your breastmilk.”

When Darby mentioned that Dillard was body-shaming, Dillard retorted that Darby body-shamed herself by walking into the room. She added some choice words about her “big a*s face” and her “big a*s forehead” as well.

The internet has decided that Candiace crossed the line with her statements about her sworn enemy.

But, in the end, facts are facts.

It is worth noting that earlier in the show, Darby’s husband, who was accused by a male RHOP staff member of sexual assault and admitted to entertaining women in a hotel room last year while his wife was post-partum with their first child, told her that it was good that she is losing the baby weight quickly in reference to him still being attracted to her.

Arguments are a part of the franchise. Whether you’re no matter whose side you’re on, it definitely made great television.
