Raven-Symoné Reveals She Had Two Breast Reduction Surgeries And Liposuction Before Turning 18

Childhood star Raven-Symoné disclosed she had reconstructive surgery as a minor on her podcast, The Best Podcast Ever, which she co-hosts with her wife, Miranda Maday.

Asked what she thought of when she heard the word “augmentation,” she said machines and plastic surgery came to mind, slipping in the shocking news that she had surgery done to her body before 18.

The former Disney star said she had the same plastic surgeon as Sharon Osbourne.

“I had two breast reductions and lipo before I turned 18,” Raven said.

Miranda then notified her wife that it was her first time publicly telling people.

Raven continued, explaining that her dad encouraged and signed off on her receiving the surgeries.

“My dad suggested strongly that I should get my breasts reduced,” she said. “He was like, ‘So you don’t feel bad. Is there anything you want?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah if I get lipo, would people stop calling me fat?’ So, I got a twofer (like a two for the price of one deal).”

Raven divulged about having a seizure after waking up from her first surgery and going dry in the mouth. She said she doesn’t remember the seizure but remembered not breathing or swallowing. The surgeons told her she had a seizure.

The Cheetah Girls actress experienced pain during recovery and still has scars. Raven then admitted to going back for a quick procedure on her breasts after gaining weight.

“They were still too big for others’ feelings,” she said without giving the “others” away.

Miranda asked if she went to a recovery center for her breast reduction. Raven denied going to a recovery center for that specific surgery but said she went for a different one. Prior to the breast reduction procedure, Raven said she got “triple D’s” sized breasts.

Raven revealed in 2017 she was fat-shamed as a child star. She recalled being told she couldn’t eat certain things while on The Cosby Show at seven years old because she was “getting fat.”

It continued into her teen years. She remembered being told she was too big to tour because they believed big people wouldn’t last hours on stage singing and dancing. But she proved them wrong!
