Rapper Xzibit Wants The Judge To Order His Ex-Wife To Get A Job Instead Of Relying On His Finances

Pimp My Ride Xzibit filed a request for the court to order his ex-wife, Krista Joiner, to get a job instead of financially relying on him.

According to Radar Online, he asked

the court to order Joiner to do an evaluation to determine if she was physically and mentally able to work. The review would also look into her employment options. Once the assessment is completed, the judge can make an official ruling on how much spousal support the rapper would contribute.

Per a Sis2Sis report, the “Get Your Walk On” rapper was ordered to pay $2,239 monthly in child support until their 10-year-old son, Gatlyn, turned 18. He was also ordered to pay $3,702 in spousal support—nearly $6,000 a month. In July, he was also called to contribute $125,000 for Joiner’s legal fees and $50,000 for a forensic accountant to ensure there weren’t any suspicious financial activities.

The demand for the forensic accountant came after Joiner alleged Xzibit was hiding money, claiming that his “estranged sibling” informed her that “he stored $20 million for Xzibit in various vaults and brings X cash on demand.”

The rapper tried to claim he was struggling financially due to not having worked in the industry for a while. Joiner stated that her ex-husband made $1 million monthly from his cannabis business.

Joiner filed for divorce in 2021 and alleged that the two had an “oral agreement” that he would provide her financial assistance for life if she remained at home and took care of their son. The lawsuit included that Xzibit agreed to split his property and businesses with his ex.

“In the event the parties’ relationship ended, all of the property acquired, or entities or businesses established, or which property or entities/businesses increased in value, during their relationship as a result of (Xzibit’s) skills, efforts, labor, and earnings, regardless of how the title was formally held, would be divided equally between them,” according to Radar Online.
