Louisiana rapper Boosie Badazz recently revealed his plans to enroll at Jackson State University next semester, a historically black college based in Jackson, Mississippi. Taking a break from his online trolling, the “Wipe Me Down” star detailed on video why he wants to participate in the college experience that he feels he missed out on.
In a short clip obtained by Well Off Media, Boosie stated, “I’ve been coming to Jackson since I was 14. And I love y’all. Y’all love my stanky drawers, and I love y’all back.” The 39-year-old continued, “It’s a big secret. I wasn’t going to let it out, but I’m enrolling in Jackson State next semester.”
On his plans to experience the entire college lifestyle, Boosie added, “Yeah, I want to see how it feels to walk around the campus, talk to girls with a book sack on. I want to feel normal. I missed that part of my life. So I want to enroll and be able to walk down the thing and go to class and try my brain. ’Cause I still have matter up there that needs to be explored.”
In a recent interview with VLAD TV, Boosie opened up about being expelled from his high school in the 10th grade and dropping out the following school year, explaining, “By that time I was taking off with rapping, and I just thought I was too big for school…I was deep in the game, so school wasn’t important to me. I didn’t feel like me going to school was going to make me rich.”
