Rapper 50 Cent claimed Gabrielle Union was on some “h** s**t” after he caught wind of the actress’ shocking infidelity confession.
In an interview with Big Boy TV that premiered on Jan. 11, radio host Big Boy asked for the “In Da Club” performer’s thoughts on Union extenuating her cheating during her first marriage with former NFL player Chris Howard by stating she was the “breadwinner,” specifically if the provider has a “pass to cheat.”
The rapper began by commenting how it was “crazy” that the confession came from the Deliver Us From Eva star.
“I don’t think that it matters who’s making more money,” 50 Cent said. “I think it matters the terms of the relationship, how you get involved.”
He then stated that people should look into where most people’s concepts of relationships originate. According to 50 Cents, some look to more “traditional” forms of relationships, like their parents or grandparents, as a paradigm for how their relationship should function, and said it doesn’t work for more relationships today.
Union revealed that she felt “entitled” to cheat since she made more money than Howard and paid all the bills. But 50 Cent doesn’t think salary is a valid excuse for being unfaithful, stating how women were more submissive in the past despite not being the breadwinners.
Big Boy and 50 Cent then brought up talk show host, actress and author Oprah Winfrey who sits at a net worth of over $2.5 billion and have been faithful to her lover of over 35 years, Stedman Graham, who has a $10 million net worth.
“Just saying I was the breadwinner making more money, so now he should just go with whatever I say until…she go find something she like?” 50 said. “And slide?”
He continued, “This really what we’re talking about, this is h** s**t, man. This is like the mentality of someone who’s a h** because she’s saying, if you got more, got a bigger bag Big then I’ll listen. I’ll stay home. But if the bag ain’t right, I’m out. That’s h– talk, man.”
When Big Boy pointed out that 50 Cent called Union a “h**,” the rapper clarified that he was referring to the “mentality” behind the actress cheating. The conversation on the matter ended with the rapper talking about how there will be times when men experience low points, but he questioned if it gave the woman the right to go out and do what she wanted.
Sis2Sis previously reported that the Bring It On actress shared how her marriage with Howard was toxic because they cheated on each other from 2001 to 2006. Union explained on the Armchair Expert podcast that she discovered Howard was unfaithful before getting married and wanted him to experience how it felt to be cheated on.
She went further, stating she felt “entitled” to cheat because she made more money than him, paid “all the bills,” and worked hard.
