On Monday, R&B’s Pretty Ricky member Baby Blue was shot and injured in a shooting in Davie, Florida, at Spare Z Bowling alley, The Shade Room reported.
Sources in contact with Blue confirmed that the rapper was at the bowling alley celebrating the release of his new single being, “Jerry Rice,” when the shooting occurred.
Davie Police Department shared with the outlet that the two victims, one being Blue, involved in the shooting were in the parking lot when two suspects approached them, and an altercation ensued.
One of the suspects tried to snatch a gold chain, which led to shots fired, leaving Blue injured in his left shoulder area.
Authorities weren’t able to identify the suspects as they fled the scene before police got there; however, the investigation is still open.
The two suspects were described as one suspect wore a black hoodie with a face covering, and the second suspect, a gray hoodie with a face covering.
People reported that Blue is seen in a video of the incident, lying on the ground bleeding as friends around him yelled for help.

After the video was made public, social media flooded with messages of hope for the young rapper, along with the hashtag “PrayforBabyBlue.”
When he finally awoke from his coma, Blue addressed social media and expressed that he was thankful for the thoughts and prayers of his fans.

Baby Blue, also known as Diamond Blue Smith, who’s famous for being on VH1’s “Love and Hip Hop,” as well as an OG Pretty Ricky member, is currently in critical condition.
However, the rapper is pulling strength from his fans. On Instagram, he said, “Literally woke up out a coma to thousands of texts and messages. Love yall!”
