Rapper 50 Cent got a police report filed against him after striking a concertgoer with his microphone at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.
The Neighborhood Talk posted the video of the “Candy Shop” rapper seemingly frustrated after being handed numerous faulty microphones. At the beginning of the video, 50 Cent tossed a microphone offstage before a stage worker handed him another during his “Toot It and Boot It” performance with fellow rapper YG.
The rapper noticed the new mic was faulty and chucked it off the stage like an MLB player.

The unlucky concertgoer happened to be Power 106’s host Bryhana Monegain. Images Monegain shared showed a laceration in her forehead and blood on her face and hands.

In a video posted by TMZ, Monegain explained she wanted to make sure the impact didn’t do major damage like injuring her brain.
The outlet reported that Monegain told police in her police report that 50 Cent looked at her directly and knew she was there before hurling the microphone. Police told TMZ they believed he aimed for the production area, incidentally hitting the radio host.
Sources explained to the outlet that Monegain wasn’t his target, adding she wasn’t supposed to be in the restricted area, which doesn’t justify the grown man’s actions. He should’ve done what most performers do and called the venue out.
A similar rapper was under fire for hurling a microphone at an audience member. Many may remember Cardi B performing in Las Vegas when a person threw her drink at the singer, causing the “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker to toss her mic at the fan.
That fan filed a police report against Cardi B, but police cleared the rapper.
