Pooch Hall will return to his role as Derwin Davis on The Game, according to VIBE Magazine. The 10-episode series will air on Paramount+. Wendy Raquel Robinson will also return as Tasha Mack, and Hosea Chanchez will return as Malik Wright.
The Game originally aired on the CW for three seasons before moving over to BET for an additional six seasons. Actress Brittany Daniel will also appear in the reboot as Kelly Pitts, Deadline reports. The popular television series was created by Mara Brock Akil, who will serve as an executive producer on the project. Devon Greggory from America Soul will direct and produce The Game reboot. Brock Ali said that she is confident in Greggory’s ability to run the show.
“Fifteen years ago, I created The Game,” she said. “And am so proud of the success we had, and that I was able to create characters and stories that resonated with so many people. I couldn’t be happier about leaving my beloved characters like Tasha Mack and Malik Wright in the hands of Devon, Wendy and Hosea, who I know will build off of the rich foundation the show has.”
