After receiving tons of fallout over his reckless and bigoted statements about Meghan Markle and throwing a temper tantrum, Piers Morgan quit Good Morning Britain on Tuesday.
According to the Associated Press, ITV released a statement regarding Morgan’s departure from the show.
“Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided now is the time to leave Good Morning Britain,” the network said. “ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing further to add.”
In other words, “Good riddance, Piers.”
The news of the prime minister of white fragility’s departure came following Morgan blustering off the set of GMB after co-host Alex Beresford gathered him over his over-the-top reactions to Markle’s statements during her and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey last Sunday.
“I understand that you don’t like Meghan Markle. You’ve made it so clear a number of times on this program, and I understand that you had a personal relationship with Meghan Markle, and she cut you off,” Beresford said.
His next statement question summed up Morgan’s problem with Markle.
“Has she said anything about you after she cut you off? She’s entitled to cut you off if she wants to. And yet you continue to trash her.”
At that point, Morgan cut Beresford off, saying, “That’s it. I’m finished.”
And with his knickers in a bunch, he exited stage left.
Morgan took to Twitter to justify the tantrum explaining that he was “annoyed,” so he “went for a little cool-down and came back to finish the discussion.”
“Sure. I just prefer not to sit there listening to colleagues call me diabolical,” he wrote on the social media platform.

For his lack of accountability, Twitter users dragged him– again.

These are the accounts that like your tweet. You’re more alone with your opinion on this than you think and it’s time for you to sit and listen. pic.twitter.com/oPRxWBGDLw

This is the point he called you diabolical and you’d left the room you absolute melt. Just admit you couldn’t handle being told truths about your obsession with Meghan pic.twitter.com/oU2kODUH7a

Beresford’s thoughts about Morgan being pressed as hell over Markle weren’t far off.
According to the Daily Mail UK, Morgan penned a scathing op-ed about the woman referring to her as “The Duchess of Delusion.”
“Having had personal experience, on a very small scale, of Meghan Markle’s ruthlessness when dispensing of anyone in her life that’s ceased to be of use to her, it was no great shock to see her lighting a gigantic bonfire that will surely cause irreparable damage to her husband’s family,” the prince of white fragility wrote.
“After all, she’s torched all her own family, along with her ex-husband and most of her old friends. This was the acting performance of her life, with every word, every facial expression carefully planned and choreographed.”
In fact, if it’s not late, someone should nominate it for the Oscars,” the Bitter Bobby concluded.
Instead of worrying about Markle, it sounds like Morgan needs to seek help for his issues.
