Tristan Thompson appears to be making an effort to spend time with his children.
Thompson, 30, shared a photo of him and his 5-year-old son Prince, whom he shares with Jordan Craig, to his Instagram Story on Friday. “That’s my best friend,” Thompson wrote in the selfie with a red heart emoji as the two smiled for the camera, People Magazine reported.
The NBA star posted the selfie with Prince just one day after spending time with his 3½-year-old daughter True, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Khloe Kardashian.
He posted a video to his Instagram story of the two smiling and exchanging laughs while eating dinner. Thompson kissed True on the cheek in the clip as she giggled and continued eating.
“My favorite type of date nights ❤️🤞🏾,” he wrote alongside the clip.
In October, the 30-year-old shared photos on Instagram of Prince and True hanging out at an arcade. The first photo captured the siblings standing side-by-side as they posed for the flick, and in the second photo, True is photographed looking adoringly at Prince.
“Let me love you a little more before you are not so little anymore #MyEverything,” he wrote in the caption, along with two red heart emojis.
While Thompson has been spotted with his children on several occasions, he reportedly hasn’t made an effort to visit his newborn son with former trainer Maralee Nichols.
As Sis2Sis previously reported, Nichols, 31, welcomed her son on Dec. 2 in Los Angeles, California. Last month, Thompson took to Instagram to address the situation after DNA testing confirmed that he is the child’s father.
“Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions. Now, that paternity has been established. I look forward to amicably raising our son. I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal, both publicly and privately.”
Since then, Nichols claimed that the Chicago Bulls player has not lived up to his fatherly duties or attempted to visit the child. She recently made a statement about Thompson’s absence from their 2-month-old son’s life.
“Despite news reports stating otherwise, Tristan Thompson has done nothing to support his son. He has not made any attempt to meet their son, nor has he provided any financial assistance,” Nichol’s rep, Harvey Englander.
