Patti LaBelle has needs! The legendary singer appeared on Tuesday’s episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show and disclosed she’s not opposed to dating again.
“Valentine’s Day is coming up. You open to dating?” Hudson asked her.
“Well, sorta, kinda,” LaBelle responded, which intrigued the host.
The “Spotlight” singer asked the 78-year-old if she did dating apps, which LaBelle said she hadn’t experienced dating apps but had seen commercials for them. She then revealed she already had a special person in mind, which an audience member is heard asking “who,” earning an approval look from a curious Hudson.
“That’s my personal business,” LaBelle clarified.
“Yes, ma’am. Moving on,” Hudson exclaimed.
She also discussed her 32-year marriage to Armstead Edwards, which ended in 2003. LaBelle said that while her marriage to Edwards was beautiful and they’re in a good place, she’s “too good to be solo.”
Also on the show, LaBelle talked about the iconic moment on Tyra Banks’ talk show in 2008 when author, baker and Dan Schneider’s wife, Lisa Lillien, instructed a brilliant LaBelle not to eat the cupcake paper wrapper.
Patti Labelle was just on Jennifer Hudson’s talk show and talked about that infamous cupcake/“eating paper” moment with Tyra Banks and that random woman in 2008 lol

“The girl thought I was going to eat the paper on the cupcake…I wanted to slap that heifer so hard,” the “On My Own” singer recalled. “She said…’Ms. LaBelle, don’t eat the paper.’ I said, ‘What’s wrong with you, boo? I don’t eat paper.'”
The two sang “You Are My Friend” together at the end, and they both killed it.
