‘P-Valley’ Fans Are Saying Goodbye To Autumn Night!

It’s time to say farewell to P-Valley’s Autumn Night, played by Elarica Johnson. During the show’s season two finale, Autumn said her goodbyes to Chucalissa and The Pynk.

After Autumn caught wind of Uncle Clifford (portrayed by Nicco Annan) and his plan to purchase The Pynk. Despite her efforts to stop it, she was kicked out of the family and the club. She had money saved up, but it wasn’t enough to keep her going. She decided to steal from The Pynk’s account and left town. The last surprise came when it was discovered that Autumn was pregnant with Andre Watkins’ (Parker Sawyers) baby.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Johnson spoke about her departure from the show, revealing it was her choice.

“It’s something I discussed with Katori [Hall],” she said. “Looking at the scripts this season, and the journeys of the characters and where the Pynk was going, Autumn’s journey felt like it was coming to an end. She has done what she needed to do, and it was time for her to move on.”

She confirmed the news on Instagram.

“What A Ride. Proud to have stepped foot into the world of @pvalleystarz,” Johnson wrote. “It’s been an insane 3 year journey in the shoes of Autumn Night. Thank you @katorihall & @starz, I always take a little bit of my characters away with me and Autumn has left quite a mark.”

She continued, “It was my biggest pleasure working with the cast and crew…. I’ll save that for a longer post, but for now…Thank you everyone for all the #love (and hate lol) the support for this show is quite incredible. For Autumn Night this is a #goodbye ❤️ For me… it’s a see you on the next one 💋.”

As for her P-Valley character, Johnson told how the way Autumn leaves may not be the best but will leave a mark on the town and impact how things will go on in the future.

“She’s very grateful for the experience because it’s made her stronger and this was always going to be her journey,” Johnson said. She was always going to find a place to get back on her feet then move on to create a better life for herself. She made that promise to her daughter, but I think she got more [than] she bargained for in a good way.”
