Omari Hardwick Wants A Better Offer From Starz, More Money And A Great Storyline For Ghost’s Return To ‘Power’

Although Omari Hardwick’s character on “Power” has been killed off, the character of James “Ghost” St. Patrick may still be rewritten if the actor is offered the proper compensation.

According to the actor, who spoke with The Associated Press on his return to the series, Hardwick said he has been offered the opportunity to return, but he is reluctant because he believes the Ghost needs a great storyline for him to be revived from the dead.

“It would just have to be the perfect thing. They asked me to come back. They’ve asked me in the last year and a half to come back,” the actor said.

Hardwick, who gave vague details to AP, said he was not offered enough money he thinks he is worth to make a comeback.

“When I was offered this when I was in Boston reading [Netflix’s The Mother] script. I was in Boston saying, ‘and then this.’ And then the ‘then this’ went to Starz, and then they didn’t come back,” the actor explained. “They didn’t give me what I wanted on the ‘then this.’ So if they gave me the ‘then this’…but it would need to be the right ‘that.’”

Ghost, the main character on Starz’s “Power” for all six seasons, Spoilers, ended in the season finale with Ghost being shot by his son, Tariq, after a long and complicated relationship. Ghost’s death was a major turning point in the series and left many fans shocked and saddened.

Ghost’s absence led to many “Power”-related spin-offs, including “Power Book II: Ghost”, a sequel to “Power” that follows Tariq in his father’s criminal footsteps; “Power Book III: Raising Kanan”, a prequel to “Power” that follows the early life of Kanan Stark, Ghost’s former mentor turned rival; and “Power Book IV: Force” is a spin-off of Power that follows Tommy Egan, Ghost’s partner in crime, best friend, and godfather to his children, as he moves to Chicago and becomes involved in the city’s drug trade.
